WHAT IS PON?

Introducing PON, a revolutionary, semi-hydroponic growing system designed to provide plants with the optimal environment for healthy growth and development.

Key Benefits of PON for Plants:

  •  Optimized Nutrition: PON delivers a precise balance of water, nutrients, and oxygen to roots, promoting healthy growth and development.
  •  Increased Growth Rates: By providing plants with exactly what they need, PON can increase growth rates and yields.
  • Improved Root Health: PON's unique design promotes healthy root development, reducing the risk of root rot and other problems.
  • Reduced Watering Frequency: PON's water reservoir and porous medium work together to reduce watering frequency, making it perfect for busy growers.
  • Easy to Use: PON is a simple, straightforward system that's easy to set up and maintain, even for novice growers.
  • Versatile: PON can be used with a wide range of plants, from leafy greens and herbs to flowers and succulents.

With PON, you can unlock your plants' full potential and enjoy healthier, more robust growth.

HOW TO USE PON?

1. Prepare the PON:
• Rinse thoroughly under running water to remove dust and fine particles.
• Optional: Soak in water for a few hours to ensure it’s fully hydrated before use.

2. Pick your pot:
• Use a pot with a water reservoir (self-watering pots are ideal) or without drainage holes.
• If no reservoir, you’ll need to water more carefully.

3. Prepare your plant:
• Remove the plant gently from soil.
• Rinse roots under lukewarm water to remove all soil. (No soil should be left to prevent rot.)

4. Inspect and trim roots:
• Check for any damaged, rotting, or dead roots and trim them off with clean scissors.

5. Potting into PON:
• Add a base layer of PON (2-4 cm) at the bottom of the pot.
• Place the plant in the center.
• Fill around the roots with PON, gently tapping to fill air gaps but not compacting too much.

6. Watering initially:
• Water thoroughly until water drains out the bottom (if drainage pot).
• If using a reservoir pot, fill the reservoir up to about 1/3–1/2 full.

7. Settling in period:
• Allow the plant to adjust. Roots will adapt from soil to semi-hydro conditions over the next few weeks.

8. Fertilizing:
• Use a balanced liquid fertilizer diluted to about ¼–½ strength.

9. Watering routine:
• Only water when the top 1–2 inches of PON are dry (or refill the reservoir once low).
• Don’t let roots stay waterlogged unless the plant is a water-lover.

10. General maintenance:
• Watch for root rot or pests (less common in PON).

11. Occasionally flush the PON with clean water to prevent salt build-up.
